It started as a spreadsheet of node numbers
Kept because I got tired of arriving at a junction to find three kilometres of loose shell that no map had mentioned.
It grew. Other people wanted it. A spreadsheet stopped being a sensible way to share it, and here we are.
Where the data comes from
Node positions and connections come from regional network operators' open datasets, refreshed monthly. Surface tagging is partly derived from open mapping data and partly submitted by riders — because open data will tell you a path exists but rarely tells you what it is made of now.
Ferry schedules are checked against operator sites twice a season. They still change without notice. Verify before you rely on one.
Corrections
If a segment is tagged wrong, a sign is missing, or a ferry has changed its hours, send it in. Include the node numbers either side and roughly when you rode it. Corrections go live within a week and each page carries a last-verified date.
Not affiliated
This is not run by, endorsed by, or connected to any regional network authority or tourism board. It is an independent tool. If you want the official regional maps, buy them — they are good, and they do not need a phone battery.
What is not here. Accounts, tracking, a newsletter, and a popup asking whether you would like to rate your experience. The planner opens and works. That is the whole product.
